Day Two At Lutsen Mountain For Alpine Skiers

 

LUTSEN MOUNTAIN, Minn. - The Northern MichiganUniversity alpine ski team competed on Friday in the second day of the giantslalom at the Lutsen Mountain event. 

Danielle Denbleyker led the â€Ã‚˜Cats with a third place finishin a total time of 2:24.68.  KateHosking was the next skier in 11th place with a time of2:28.66.  Two skiers were next in theevent as Elizabeth Somalski was 19th (2:30.96) and teammate MeriKoski was 20th (2:31.13). Jarah Young was 23rd in a time of 2:31.69.  The final skier for NMU was Sarah Brown in31st place (2:33.44).  JazzCentauro lost her ski during the second run and did not finish the race. 

Saturday the skiers will compete in the slalom event atSpirit Mountain in Duluth, Minn.
