
CAMP FORTUNE, Quebec â€Ã‚“ The second day of competitionon Sunday at the St. Lawrence Carnival saw the â€Ã‚˜Cats place ninth with 27.0points in the slalom event. TheUniversity of Vermont scored 88 points for the second day of skiing.
Kate Hosking led the â€Ã‚˜Cats with a 23rd placeshowing on Sunday with a total time of 1:34.53. Her second run of 46.02 was the 10th fastest run ofthe day. Danielle Denbleyker placed 35thas she turned in a total time of 1:40.36. Beth Somalski was the third NMU skier to place in the event as sheplaced 44th (1:47.83).
Lori Hellowell, Jazz Centauro and Meri Koski did not finishthe event.
The skiers will be in action again on Jan. 23-26 at theLusten/Spirit Mid America Series Race in Duluth, Minn.
