HOUGHTON, Mich. - The second day of the MacalesterInvitational at Michigan Tech on Sunday saw the NMU womenâ€Ã‚™s cross country skiteam place second with 82 points in the 13K Classical.  Alaska Fairbanks placed first in the eventwith 83 points.

Leading the way for the â€Ã‚˜Cats was Rachel Daw who placedsecond in the event with a time of 49:16.2. Hilary Patzer in fourth place (50:27.3) and Tami Kochen in fifth place(51:01.8) scored points for the â€Ã‚˜Cats.

Other skiers who competed included:  Maria Stuber (51:21.5); Shannon Dikkema(51:26.0); Katherine Huemmer (52:05.7); and Stephanie Howe (54:24.5).

The â€Ã‚˜Cats are at the CCSA Conference Championship on Jan.25-26 for their next action.
