Oilers Down 'Cats

FINDLAY, Ohio â€Ã‚“ The University of Findlay Oilersturned a five point halftime lead into a 15 point win (78-63) Thursday night atHoudeshell Court.  The Oilers were up 37-32at the half and the â€Ã‚˜Cats cut the lead to one at the beginning of the secondhalf.  Keder Hyppolite made a lay upwith 17:21 left in the game to make the score 41-40, and that was as close asthe â€Ã‚˜Cats would get on the night.  TheOilers then went on a 19-6 run to put the game away.  NMU is now 7-6 overall and 3-2 in the GLIAC.  Findlay improves to 11-2 and 4-1 on theseason.

Billy Hill kept the â€Ã‚˜Cats in the game as he was the lone NMUplayer to score in the double-digit column. Hill was 10-16 from the floor, 4-8 in three-pointers and 5-7 from thefree throw line.  He ended the nightwith 29 points.  Milan Azanjac led theâ€Ã‚˜Cats on the boards with eight rebounds. Dustin Pfeifer led the Oilers with 21 points.

For the game the â€Ã‚˜Cats shot 42 percent from the floor(21-50), 37.5 percent from the arch (6-16) and 60 percent from the free throwline (15-25).  The Oilers had 11offensive rebounds on the night to the â€Ã‚˜Cats nine.  Overall the Oilers out-rebounded the â€Ã‚˜Cats 36 to 27. 

The â€Ã‚˜Cats are in action again on Saturday (Jan. 11) atHillsdale.
