OWENDBORO, Ky. â€Ã‚“ The NMU Wildcats faced the secondranked team in NCAA II basketball on Thursday night on their home court.  Kentucky Wesleyan dominated all facets ofthe game to take the non-conference tilt by a 74-58 score.  With the loss the â€Ã‚˜Cats are now 5-4 on theseason while Kentucky Wesleyan is 5-1.

Milan Azanjac was the lone â€Ã‚˜Cat to score in the double-digitcolumn as he had 12 points on the night. David Noel had six rebounds to pace the â€Ã‚˜Cats.  Eric Freeman paced Kentucky Wesleyan with 15 points. 

For the game NMU shot a little over 39 percent from thefloor (24-61).  In three-pointers theâ€Ã‚˜Cats were six of 25 for 24 percent. Kentucky Wesley had the advantage on the boards as they had 43 reboundsto the â€Ã‚˜Cats 31.  NMU made eight tripsto the free throw line and converted four of the throws.  Kentucky Wesleyan made 22 trips to thecharity stripe and converted 18 of the free throws.

NMU returns home for a Dec. 31 contest with GannonUniversity.  The â€Ã‚˜Cats will also havehome games on Jan.2 against Ashland and Jan. 4 against Mercyhurst.
