
MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Ã‚“ The NMU menâ€Ã‚™s basketball team cameout of the gates strong against the visiting St. Norbert Green Knights onSaturday night at the Berry Events Center. The Wildcats shot over 62 percent from the floor in the first half andshot over 55 percent for the game. TheWildcats built a lead as big as 21 points in the first half to cruise to the91-79 non-conference win. NMU is now4-3 while St. Norbert falls to 3-4.
In the second half the Green Knights cut the lead to 10 pointsat 65-55 with a little over 11 minutes left in the game.
NMU more than doubled St. Norbert on the boards by a countof 44 to 21 rebounds.
The Wildcats are in action again on Monday night (Dec. 16) at 7:30 p.m. at theBerry Events Center against Northland College.
