Untitled Document ASHLAND, Ohio - The Northern Michigan University women's cross country team placed fourth at the 2002 NCAA II National Cross Country Championships that were held on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Ashland University.
The Wildcats scored 129 points as Western State College won the title with 43 points. Adams State was second with 46 points as GLIAC member Grand Valley State was third with 97 points.
Caitlin Compton led the 'Cats with a 12th place finish in a time of 22:27.0. Jordan Seethaler was next for the 'Cats with a 22nd place finish (22:48.9) as Aubrey Smith was 26th (22:57.8). All three runners earned NCAA II All-American honors for their effort.
Rounding out the runners for the Wildcats were - Maria Stuber, 33rd (23:07.3); Jennifer Lahr, 36th (23:11.9); Katherine Huemmer, 68th (23:48.3); and Tami Kochen, 85th (24:03.5).
