ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University women'svolleyball team ended their season Friday afternoon with a five game loss to Gannon University in the semifinals of the GLIAC Volleyball Tournament.  The 'Catswon the first game (30-18) before the Golden Knights won the second game(17-30) to even the match at one game each.  NMU would win the third game(33-31) to take the 2-1 lead in games.  Gannon would come back to take the fourth(27-30) and the deciding fifth game (13-15) to advance to the championship gameagainst the winner of the Grand Valley-Northwood match.  NMU ends the seasonwith a 15-15 overall record.  Gannon improves to 16-10.  Holly Greenamyre andBeth Laveen led the 'Cats with 16 kills each.  Kelli McCune dished out 54assists.  On the defensive front, Meaghan Kimball had 24 digs while McCunechipped in with 23 digs.  Greenamyre knocked down seven total blocks to pacethe 'Cats (three block solos and four block assists).
