MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan Universitywomen's cross country ranked fourth in the latest NCAA II Cross Country Pollwere trying to knock off the third ranked Grand Valley State Lakers at theGLIAC Cross Country Championship held Saturday in Detroit. NMU finished secondbehind the Lakers with 55 points as Grand Valley tallied 29 points.
Grand Valley had three of the top six places as the Wildcats countered withtwo runners in the top 10. Jordan Seethaler was fifth with a time of 22:19.0 asteammate Caitlin Compton was seventh with a time of 22:29.7. Shannon Antvelinkfrom Grand Valley won the race with a time of 21:59.5.
Rounding out the runners scoring for the Wildcats included Jennifer Lahr in11th place (22:45.2), Aubrey Smith in 12th place (22:49.0) and Maria Stuber in20th place (23:05.8).
