HOUGHTON, Mich. - The NMU women's crosscountry team competed at the Michigan Tech Invitational on Saturday and easilyran away with the title. The 'Cats tallied 15 points as Tech was second with 53points and Lawrence University was third with 72 points.
The Wildcats claimed the top 12 places at the invitational as Caitlin Comptonwas first with a time of 18:14.02 and teammate Jordan Seethaler was second in atime of 18:14.26. In the third place position was Jennifer Lahr (19:10.24),Maria Stuber was fourth (19:19.23), Aubrey Smith was fifth (19:24.10) and Lisa Gorkiewiczwas sixth (19:25.17) to round out the top half for the Wildcats.

The team is in action next at the Lester Park Invitational next Saturday (Sept.7).
