'Cats Finally Get To Play In Erie
ERIE, Pa. - After yesterday'sevents against Gannon, the Wildcats got a chance to get on the court and play avolleyball match on Sunday. The setting was Mercyhurst and the result was aloss for the 'Cats. The Lakers won the first game (24-30) before NMU won thesecond game (30-28) of the match to tie it all up. Mercyhurst then went on towin the third (21-30) and fourth (28-30) games to take the match. With theloss, NMU is now 6-8 overall and 1-3 in the GLIAC while Mercyhurst is now 13-3and 5-1.
Jennie Little led the 'Cats with 15 kills on the afternoon while teammate AimeeDewitte had 12 kills. Anne Kinsella had 23 digs for the 'Cats for team honors. KelliMcCune had 50 assists and four block assists on the afternoon. Holly Greenamyrehad eight block assists for the match.
The Lakers were led by Lyndsi Hughes with her 19 kills. Carrie Borowski had 28digs and Kari Clapham had 40 assists for the Lakers.
The 'Cats will finally get a chance to play Gannon tomorrow evening (Sept. 30)at 7:00 p.m.
