MARQUETTE, Mich. – After a week off, the Northern Michigan University swimming and diving team hosts the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Saturday (Nov. 3) at the PEIF Pool. The meet begins at 10 a.m. and admission is free.

“We’ve had more meets early in the season compared to last year so having last weekend off was a much needed break,” NMU coach Heidi Voigt said.

The Wildcats started the season defeating Hillsdale twice at home on Oct. 12-13. NMU finished second in its other meet this season at the St. Cloud Invite on Oct. 19-20.

Saturday’s meet is the final home meet of 2012. The ‘Cats hosts a two-day diving meet on Jan. 11-12 and the Wildcat Intrasquad meet on Jan. 19

“Having home meets is something we aren’t used to,” Voigt added. “The team loves competing in front of their crowd and in their pool. It will be a fun day and we hope fans come out to support us.”
