Men’s Basketball to Hold Midnight Madness

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University men’s basketball team will kick off the 2012-13 season with its annual Midnight Madness event on at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14 in PEIF 150. The Wildcats will begin official practice for the new season at midnight.
Students and members of the community are invited to support the ‘Cats for the upcoming season. A live DJ will be present along with performances by the NMU dance and cheerleading teams. Games will be played, and prizes will also be given away.
NMU’s first game is an exhibition game on Nov. 1 at the University of Michigan. The first home game is set for Nov. 17 against Finlandia University.
