MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan University junior Mallory Celaya is the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s cross country runner of the week.

Celaya, a native of North Hollywood Calif., was the top finisher for the Wildcats at the Blugold Invite on Saturday (Sept. 22) in 19th place. She crossed the finish line in 22:53 in her second race for the Green and Gold. The ‘Cats finished sixth as a team in Eau Claire, Wis.

Celaya finished seventh in her first race at UW-Parkside the previous weekend.

Northern travels to the nation’s largest cross country meet this weekend, the Roy Griak Invite, in St. Paul, Minn.
