MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University football team will host its annual Spring Game at 3 p.m. on Saturday (April 21) at the Superior Dome. The Wildcats will also have a Lift-A-Thon in Vandament Arena at 5:30 p.m. on Friday (April 20) and a Fan Party at Vango’s following the Lift-A-Thon. All events are free to the public.

Kids are invited to warm-up with the Wildcats on Saturday, starting at 2 p.m. and are invited back on the field for t-shirts and autographs after the game. The 2011 seniors will be honored in a pre-game ceremony.

 “We hope to see everyone out on Friday and Saturday to support the Wildcats,” NMU football coach Chris Ostrowsky said. “It’s going to be a great opportunity for the young kids to meet and hang out with the players.”

The offense will take on the defense with a special scoring system to be announced on Saturday. Four 15:00 quarters will be played with a running clock.

Saturday’s game will also feature in-game promotions for fans and the NMU Marching Band will have on on-field performance. Honorary coaches will take part in a pre-game coin toss, on-field coaching and play calling.

The official radio station of the NMU Wildcats, 100.3 FM “The Point”, will broadcast the game live.

The ‘Cats Corner Store will also be open, along with concessions and a 50/50 raffle.
