Schmidt Named to Soccer Region Team
Junior defender Becky Schmidt.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Northern Michigan University defender Becky Schmidt was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Midwest Region Third Team.
Schmidt, a junior from Slinger, Wis., started in all 19 games this season, scoring one goal and adding an assist. She was named to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team.
In her career, Schmidt has played in 59 games, scoring five goals with six assists.
NMU finished the 2011 season with a record of 10-6-3 overall and 8-5-2 in the GLIAC.
