KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Northern Michigan University women’s soccer team has earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the sixth year in a row.

The Wildcats were one of 571 women’s teams nationally, for all divisions, to receive the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2010-11 academic year. Matt Granstrand’s squad had a 3.23 grade point average.

For a team to be considered for the NSCAA Team Academic Award, it must have a composite team grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for all team members who appear on the official roster for the fall season.
