Volleyball Back on the National Scene

MARQUETTE, Mich. –Following five straight victories by straight sets, the Northern Michigan volleyball team is now ranked in the top 25 nationally by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
The ‘Cats enter the poll ranked No. 25 and stand at 8-5 overall and 6-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference. This is the first time that NMU has appeared in the poll since the preseason.
NMU returns home this week to Vandament Arena, hosting three opponents. The ‘Cats open the week on Tuesday (Oct. 4) against No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth and conclude the week on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 7-8) hosting Ohio Dominican and Tiffin.
