BATH, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University golf team finished the fall portion of its schedule at the 2011 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Eagle Eye Golf Course. The Wildcats finished 12th during the three round tournament. Grand Valley State took home the conference championship.

Jared Reid was the top golfer for the ‘Cats. He finished tied for 19th with a weekend total of 231. Reid’s best round was a 1-under 71, during the second round.

Mike Murphy was six shots back of Reid. He shot a 76 in the second round for his best score.

Colten Thewis (242), Zach Ginop (259) and Adam Huss (264) rounded out the scoring for Northern.

The Wildcats are off until March 30, 2012 when they travel to Kentucky.
