MARQUETTE, Mich.– Northern Michigan University will host a football reunion for the 1981 team on Homecoming Weekend (Sept. 29-Oct. 1).Players, coaches, family and program supporters will be gathering to remember the magical 1981 season. The 2011 Wildcats host Wayne State in the Superior Dome at 4 p.m. on Homecoming (Oct. 1).

The Wildcats had an undefeated regular season (10-0) in 1981. They defeated Elizabeth City (55-6) in the NCAA Quarterfinal before bowing out to Southwest Texas in the semifinal.

The reunion is a fun-filled three-day event beginning on Thursday, Sept. 29. Registration fees cover all reunion expenses. Please fill out the attached registration form and RSVP by Sept. 10. Registrations are important to develop the final game plan for the weekend’s activities. Help spread the word by contacting those you’re in contact with to encourage their attendance.
