MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan University Recreational Sports will hold a Wildcat Kids Camp and a Wildcat Tween Camp as a part of its 2011 Summer Youth Programs. Summer sport camps will also be held for individual sports during June, July and August. The Wildcat Tween and Kids Camps are going to be held from June 13 – August 25. Weekly cost is $130 and $70 for half days for a week. The Tween Camp is for ages 10-13 and will provide children with the chance to learn valuable life skills, make new friends, develop character and discover new interests. The Kids Camp is for ages 5-9 and is focused on teaching new skills, promoting teamwork, encouraging sportsmanship and recognizing the unique abilities and interests of each child. Activities include swimming, sports, indoor rock climbing, crafts, ice skating, outdoor adventure, environmental education and more.

Individual sport camps will be held for boy’s and girl’s basketball, enduro fitness, football and youth football, hockey, soccer, swimming and volleyball. Information on all camps can be found online at
