Spring Football Begins

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The 2011 Northern Michigan University football season gets underway Monday (March 21) with the opening of spring football drills. During the 15 practice days, 12 will be full contact, eight will be with tackling and three will be scrimmages. The spring season will conclude with the spring game on April 16 at 1 p.m.

NMU is coming off a 5-6 record and will get the regular season underway with Minnesota-State Mankato from the Superior Dome on Sep. 1.

April 2 – 8:00 a.m. – Scrimmage
April 4 – 3:20 p.m.

April 8 – 3:20 p.m.
April 9 – 9:00 a.m. – Scrimmage
April 11 – 3:20 p.m.
April 13 – 3:20 p.m.
April 15 – 3:20 p.m.
April 16 – 1:00 p.m. – Spring Game
