Wildcats Compete in Day Two of GLIACs

JENISON, Mich. – The Northern Michigan swimming and diving team continued to compete at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference at Jenison Aquatic Center.

The 400 yard medley relay finished sixth. The team consisted of Gaby Alzaga, Olga Budiansky, Lauren Cockels and Kesley Sipple.

The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Sipple, Cockels, Lindsay Stedman and Meghan Cepela finished seventh with a time of 1:39.56.

"Our relay teams had their best times of the season," NMU head coach Heidi Voigt said.

Budiansky finished 12th in the 200 yard individual medley (2:12.71). Cockels was 16th in the 50 yard freestyle (24.66).

Alison Black (338.0) and Kelli Vander Baan (321.2) finished 11th and 12th in the one meter dive. Katie Lochart was 16th and Breanne Bajo was 18th in the event.

NMU is eighth out of nine teams through 15 events. Competition continues Friday and Saturday.
