MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University volleyball team was selected to play in the NCAA tournament for the third year in a row. NMU is the No. 5 seed and takes on the No. 4 seeded University of Indianapolis. The regional is hosted by the Midwest’s No. 1 seed Hillsdale.
Other teams that are in the Midwest region are No. 2 Grand Valley State, No. 3 Lewis, No. 6 Missouri-St. Louis, No. 7 Northern Kentucky and No. 8 Southern Indiana.
NMU and Indy will play on Friday at a time to be determined. The Greyhounds defeated the Wildcats (3-0) earlier this season at the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Tournament. NMU and Indy also met as the No. 5 and No. 4 seed back in 2008 NCAA tournament when Indy won 3-2.
