MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan University soccer player Amelia Johnson (St. Michael, Minn.) has earned ESPN College Division Academic All-District IV honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Johnson earned a spot on the All-District Third Team.
The ESPN Academic All-District teams are nominated and voted upon by the nation’s sports information directors. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or higher and not be in their first year at their institution.
Johnson has started all 18 games for the Wildcats this season and leads the team in game winning goals (3). The 5-3 sophomore is also second on the team in goals (9) and shots (55).
Johnson holds a 3.90 grade point average in Athletic Training.
The Wildcats are playing in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Semifinal against Tiffin Friday (Nov. 5).
