MARQUETTE, Mich. –The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Northern Michigan University is sponsoring a can-a-thon at next week’s hockey games (Nov. 12-13).   NMU faces the Falcons of Bowling Green State University with the puck dropping each night at 7:35 p.m.

Collection points will be set up around the Berry Events Center to drop off all can and/or non-perishable food items.  All items collected will be donated to the TV-6 Can-a-thon and distributed through St. Vincent DePaul Society and Salvation Army food banks and food pantries affiliated with various local churches.  All items collected will stay in the Marquette community.
