Soccer Ranked Sixth in Final Regional Rankings

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University soccer team is ranked sixth in this week’s NCAA regional rankings that was released today (Nov. 3). Six teams from each region will qualify for the NCAA Tournament. This is the final regular-season poll. Championship selections will take place November 8 at 7 p.m. A webcast selection show will be available on NCAA.com.

The Midwest Region is comprised of 34 teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Great Lakes Valley Conference and independents.

NMU is 9-4-5 heading into the GLIAC tournament semifinals. The Wildcats play Tiffin on Friday (Nov. 5) for a chance to advance to the GLIAC Championship. Game time is set for 11 a.m. from the campus of Grand Valley State University
