Jared Coreau

FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. – Jared Coreau has been named this week’s Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Goaltender of the Week for his performance against the Buckeyes of Ohio State over the weekend.  Coreau stopped 59-of-63 shots and allowed just two even-strength goals in Northern Michigan University’s sweep of Ohio State.

Friday night in the 2-1 win over the Buckeyes, Coreau recorded 26 saves to pick up his first collegiate win.  Saturday night in the 4-3 win, the freshman from Perth, Ontario stopped 33 shots.  Currently for the season, Coreau is 2-1-1 with a 3.30 goal-against average and a .916 save-percentage.
