MARQUETTE, Mich. – The NMU soccer team (6-3-4, 6-3-2) lost 2-0 to No. 3 Grand Valley State Friday afternoon from Allendale, Mich. The ‘Cats have dropped three straight after starting the season with a 10 game unbeaten streak. Grand Valley improves to 12-1-1 and 9-1-1 in the GLIAC.

The Lakers scored a goal in each half. Jaleen Dingledine scored at 28:57 with the assist going to Ashley Botts. Botts scored a goal of her own at 78:08.

Grand Valley outshot NMU 32 to six. Jessica Baker recorded 10 saves for the Wildcats. Dana Stephens was the only Wildcat with more than one shot on goal.

NMU looks to get back in the win column, Sunday (Oct. 17), at Ferris State. Game time is set for noon.
