BAY CITY, Mich. – For the second consecutive week Carter Kopach has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Offensive Player of the Week. The junior signal caller from Boligbrook, Ill. led the Wildcats to a 31-17 GLIAC road victory over Northwood Saturday.
Kopach connected on 13-25 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for a game-high 81 yards and two more scores against the Timberwolves. He accounted for 335 yards of total offense while recording all four touchdowns. Kopach currently leads the GLIAC quarterbacks with eight passing touchdowns and is second in pass efficiency rating with 153.5.
He currently leads the ‘Cats with 145 yards rushing on 38 carries. Kopach has thrown for 691 yards on 47-83-2. He has been involved in 11 of NMU’s touchdowns so far this season (three rushing and eight passing). After three games, Kopach has tallied 836 yards of total offense. His passing yards and total offense ranks him fourth in the GLIAC in each category.
