Ana Lopes

BAY CITY, Mich. – Ana Lopes was named this week’s Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference   (GLIAC) North Division Volleyball Player of the Week.  The freshman outside hitter from Minas Gerais, Brazil led the Northern Michigan University volleyball squad to a 4-0 record at the Superior Oasis Wildcat Open.

Lopes tallied 3.73 kill per set (56 kills) while hitting at a .226 clip.  She averaged 3.13 digs per set (47 digs) recorded five assists, five blocks and two aces in helping the ‘Cats claim the tournament title.  She was named to the Superior Oasis Wildcat Open All-Tournament Team for her play over the weekend.
