GLIAC Sets New Order For Conference Basketball Games
BAY CITY, Mich. – The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announces that the conference basketball schedule will have the women playing second and the men playing first for the 2010-11 season. That is if both teams are playing on the same day or night at the same venue.
For the 2011-12 season the women will play first and the men will play second. During both seasons the start times for the first and second games will remain the same. Evening games will be at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. respectively while Saturday afternoon games will be 1 and 3 p.m.
This arrangement with the men playing the first game for a whole season and the women playing the first game in the following season, will continue in 2012-13 and beyond.
