INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Mike Levy, a member of the Northern Michigan University football team, has been selected to attend the NCAA Career in Sports Forum to be held May 11-14, 2010 at Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.   Levy will be one of 400 student-athletes from institutions across the country to attend this year’s Forum, along with 50 plus coaches, administrators and facilitators. 

The NCAA Career in Sports Forum is an event in which selected student-athletes will explore and learn about careers in sports, with the emphasis placed on collegiate athletics. Topics will include communication, networking, recruiting, managing culture, transitioning and budgeting.   Each participant will become educated in the key functions of an administrator within sports.   

Levy will participate in the administrator track which will cover the areas of: academics, compliance, facilities, life skills, marketing and promotions and sports information. The South Bend, Ind. native performed an internship with the NMU Sports Information Office during the summer of 2009 and will again this upcoming summer.
