Trio Named To GLIAC Women's Basketball Team
BAY CITY, Mich. – Three members of the Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team were named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Conference Second Team. The NMU trio named to the team was Mariah Dunham, Christa Erickson and Steffani Stoeger.
Dunham, the senior from Watertown, Wis. led the 2009-10 Wildcats in the scoring column with 310 points (12.9 ppg). Her scoring ranked her in the top 10 in the GLIAC as she was ninth in the category. Dunham was second on the team in rebounds with 5.0 rpg.
Erickson, the senior from Escanaba, Mich., was second on the squad in scoring for the 2009-10 season by averaging 10.3 ppg. She was second in the GLIAC in three-point field goal percentage (72-162, .444) and third in three-pointers made with 2.6 per game (72-162).
Stoeger, the junior from Hortonville, Wis., averaged 10.3 ppg which was tied her for second on the team. She recorded 81 assists (2.9 apg) which led the team and was 11th in the GLIAC. Stoeger also led the 2009-10 Wildcats with 39 steals.
