MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team will host the Ashland Eagles Tuesday evening (March 2) at 7 p.m. in one of the quarterfinal games of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women’s Basketball Tournament. NMU (19-8) enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed with Ashland (14-13) the No. 7 seed. The Wildcats split with the Eagles during the regular season. NMU lost to Ashland on the road in early January by a score of 69-64 and then defeated the Eagles at the Berry Events Center Feb 4 (81-65).
Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students (ages 5-18 and NMU students with an I.D.). Children five and under will be admitted free. For more information about tickets contact the NMU Ticket Office 906-227-1032.

No. 8 Northwood at No. 1 Michigan Tech, 5:30 p.m.
No. 5 Hillsdale at No. 4 Findlay, 6 p.m.
No. 6 Lake Superior State at No. 3 Grand Valley State, 6 p.m.
No.7 Ashland at No. 2 Northern Michigan, 7 p.m.
The GLIAC Tournament semifinals and final will be held at the highest remaining seed after the quarterfinals Friday, March 5 and Saturday, Mach. 6. The winner of the GLIAC Tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Tournament.
