Wildcats Host Ceremony For Canale-Bradshaw Cup Friday

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Before Friday’s hockey game against the Alaska Nanooks (Jan. 29) the Northern Michigan University hockey team will be officially presented with the Canale-Bradshaw Cup. The Wildcats secured the cup as a result of its 4-2 win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers Jan. 3 to capture the Dodge Holiday Classic. The cup goes to the winner of the NMU-Minnesota series (game). NMU’s win was for the first time since 1996 over the Golden Gophers.   
Mark Canale, owner of the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home in Marquette, will present the NMU captains with a check for $500 along with the Canale-Bradshaw Cup.   The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7:25 p.m.
