Men Skate In Freestyle Race

 

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Northern Michigan University men’s Nordic ski team was back in its collegiate schedule Saturday by racing at the SuperTour event in Minneapolis, Minn. Today’s race was the 10K freestyle.
In the senior men’s race, Tim Cook led the Wildcats with a 19th place showing in the event as he covered the course in a time of 24:36.2. Kevin Cutts was 27th (25:21.6) with teammate Tom McFadden 43rd (26:33.6). 
George Cartwright won the OJ 10K freestyle race with a time of 23:51.6. Three places back was Chris Bowler in fourth (25:18.7). Finishing in 12th was Ben Hugus (25:47.0). 
Sunday the men will compete in the classic race.
