MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Northern Michigan University women’s Nordic ski team was back in its collegiate schedule Saturday by racing at the SuperTour event in Minneapolis, Minn. Today’s race was the 5K freestyle.
Christina Gillis placed fourth overall in the women’s senior race with a time of 12:57.3. Three spots back in seventh was Marie Helen Soderman (13:21.8). Laura DeWitt just missed a top 10 finish as she was 11th (13:27.5). Ingrid Fjeldheim placed 15h with a time of 13:36.3. Anna Bergland covered the course in a time of 14:24.8 which placed her 31st. Caitlin Cassidy rounded out the skiers for the Wildcats with a 37th place showing (14:55.4). 
Monica Markvardsen took the OL 5K freesylke race with a time of 13:29.1. Libby Ellis (14:18.) was third while Karmen Whitham (14:26.8) was next in fourth. Molly Burger has a top 10 finish with a time of 14:40.0 for eighth place. Rosie Frankowski (15:06.8) was 11th with teammate Kristen Fjeldheim (16:05.1) 21st
Sunday the women will compete in the classic race.
