KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Northern Michigan University women’s soccer team has earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award.

The Wildcats were one of 337 women’s teams nationally, for all divisions, to receive the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2008-09 academic year. Matt Granstrand’s squad had a 3.29 grade point average. 

To be eligible for the award a team must post a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2008-09 academic year.
