GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University women’s swimming and diving team concluded the Calvin Winter Invitational Saturday. NMU finished the three-day meet in seventh place with 89 points. Grand Valley State won the women’s side of the meet with 1,118 points.
The 400-yard freestyle relay of Kelsey Sipple, Gena Haas, Lauren Cockels and Lindsay Stedman placed 17th with a time of 3:50.91. Ali Black placed fourth on the 1-meter board with a score of 383.90 and seventh on the 3-meter (345.45).
The ‘Cats after finals will travel to Cocoa Beach, Fla. for a training trip and will swim against Lock Haven (Jan. 2) while on the trip.
