MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University cross country team passed out team awards at its recent banquet. The Most Valuable Runner was Bibiane Mahy. Mahy led the Wildcats at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Cross Country Championships with a 34th place finish. Olivia Juntila picked up the Freshman Runner of the Year. Juntila placed 35th at the GLIAC Cross Country Championships.
The Most Improved Runner award went to Kristen Schulz. At the GLIAC Cross Country Championships, Schulz placed 36th. The Team Choice award was shared by Jenny Wiedmeyer and Nora Kiilunen. Both runners competed at the GLIAC Championships with Wiedmeyer finishing in 49th place while Kiilunen was 55th.
