Wildcats Place Four On All-GLIAC Volleyball Team

BAY CITY, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University volleyball team landed four players on the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Volleyball Team. NMU had two players on the first team, one on the second and an honorable mention selection.
The duo of Mandie Meyer (Sr., OH, Crystal Lake, Ill.)and Amy Andersen-Goldsworthy (Sr., MH, Madison, Wis.) were selected to the first team. Meyer and Andersen-Goldsworthy were the top two players on the squad in kills with 380 and 253 respectively. Meyer is fourth in the GLIAC in kills while Andersen-Goldsworthy is ninth in the conference in hitting percentage (.264). Andersen-Goldsworthy leads the ‘Cats at the net with 62 total blocks (13 block solos and 49 block assists). Meyer leads the team with 47 service aces which ranks her third in the conference. She is second on the team with 296 digs.
Cassie Osiecki (Sr., L/DS, Hampshire, Ill.) who holds the NMU career record for digs was named to the second team. She currently leads the squad with 436 digs as Osiecki is ranked seventh in the GLIAC in the category. 
Katt Garvick (Sr., OH, New Leonx, Ill.) was selected as an honorable mention pick to the team. She leads the ‘Cats with 62 service aces and is second in the GLIAC.
