BAY CITY, Mich. – Three members of the Northern Michigan University women’s soccer team have been named to the 2009 All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women’s Soccer Team. All members were selected to the second team.
Dana Stephens was selected as a forward, Kara Music as a goalkeeper and Becky Schmidt as a defender. Stephens led the team with 11 goals. She is currently tied for third in the GLIAC in goals and leads the conference with six game-winning goals.
Music is 10-8-1 on the season with a 1.51 goal-against average and a .804 save-percentage. She currently ranks fifth in the GLIAC in goal-against average and third in save-percentage. Music’s 115 saves ranks her second in the conference while her three shutouts ranks her third.
Schmidt has three goals and three assists on the season.
