MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University women’s soccer team will host its first-ever Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women’s Soccer Tournament game. NMU will face the University of Findlay Oilers, Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. on the NMU Soccer Field (located behind the Superior Dome).
The Wildcats enter the contest as the fourth seed with an overall record of 9-8-1 and a conference record of 7-6-1. Findlay is the fifth seed and finished the 2009 regular season with an overall record of 5-10-2 and a GLIAC record of 4-8-2.
The two teams met for the first time this season in early October in Findlay, Ohio. The two squads fought to a 1-1 tie in double overtime. Then a little over a week ago the Wildcats took care of the Oilers in Marquette, 2-0.
