WACO, Texas – The Northern Michigan University football team cracked the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 Poll this week landing at the 23rd spot. NMU garnered 76 points. This is the first time NMU has been ranked in the AFCA Top 25. 
Other conference schools in the poll are Grand Valley State eighth (446 points) and Findlay 18th (149 points). Hillsdale (22 points), Saginaw Valley State (18 points), Wayne State (10 points) and Ashland (2 points) received votes in this week’s poll.
NMU faces Hillsdale Saturday (Oct. 17 at 1 p.m.) in the Superior Dome before going on the road to take on Findlay (Oct. 24 at 12 p.m.) and Grand Valley State (Oct. 31 at 7 p.m.). The Wildcats conclude the regular season by facing Indianapolis at home (Nov. 7 at 1 p.m.).
