Nathan Yelk GLIAC Defensive Player Of The Week

BAY CITY, Mich. – Nathan Yelk was named this week’s Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Defensive Player of the Week for his play against Saginaw Valley State Saturday. The senior linebacker from Arlington, Wis. led the Wildcats to a 23-20 road upset of the 16th-ranked Cardinals.
Yelk registered a team-high 14 total tackles, a sack, 1.5 tackles-for-loss and an interception in the win. He currently leads NMU with in total tackles with 43 (27 solo and 16 assisted), 5.5 tackles-for-loss (-23 yards), two sacks and two forced fumbles.
