Dome Dash
MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University women’s cross country team announces “The Dome Dash” a 5K run/walk to be held Sunday, Oct. 4 beginning at 9 a.m. to benefit the team. Entry fees are $13 for U.P. road runner club members, $15 for non-members and $20 for day-of registration. Late registration and packet pick-up will be held from 8-8:45 a.m. the day of the race.
The race will begin behind the Superior Dome and follow the bike path along the lake. Entry forms are available at the NMU Recreation and NMU Athletic Departments. Forms are also available at Down Wind Sports (514 N. 3rd St.), Johnson Sport Shop (1212 N. 3rd St.), Lakeshore Bike (505 Lakeshore Blvd.) and at the Sports Rack (315 W. Washington). All entrants will receive a t-shirt and there will be awards for the overall winner and the age group winners. Awards will be given to the top three male/female finishers in the following age groups: 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70-up.
