TAIPEI, Taiwan – Northern Michigan University head women’s swimming and diving coach Bob Laughna is currently coaching the United States team at the Deaflympic Games being held in Taiwan. So far in the competition the U.S. team has won two bronze medals in the 50-meter breaststroke by Jessica Weeder and in the 4x200 freestyle relay (Weeder, Peggy Liang, Rebecca Meyers and Samantha Elam). The swimming portion of the games concludes today (Sept. 13).
Laughna is entering his third season as the head coach of the NMU women’s swimming and diving team.
