Mandie Meyer Named GLIAC North Division Player Of The Week

BAY CITY, Mich. – Mandie Meyer was named this week’s Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Player of the Week. The senior from Crystal Lake, Ill. led the Northern Michigan University Wildcats to a 3-1 record at the Wildcat Open over the weekend. NMU defeated UW-Parkside 3-1, St. Cloud State 3-2 and Winona State 3-0, and dropped the match to UM-Duluth 0-3.
Meyer led the ‘Cats with 65 kills, averaging 4.33 per set, recording a match-high 25 kills in the win over UW-Parkside. She also chipped in with 46 digs, 18 of those in the win over St. Cloud State and six aces over the weekend. Meyer was named to the Wildcat Open All-Tournament Team for her play.
