MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University football team will scrimmage three times to conclude training camp. All the scrimmages are free and open to the public.
The first two scrimmages are on consecutive Saturday mornings. The first one is this Saturday (Aug. 15) at 9 a.m. followed by the second scrimmage the following week (Aug. 22) also at 9 a.m. The final scrimmage of the camp is set for Friday, Aug. 28 at 3:30 p.m. The scrimmages will either be held in the Superior Dome or on the practice field located behind the Superior Dome.
The Wildcats open up the regular season with a game at Northwood Sept. 5 (12 p.m.). The following week the ‘Cats have its home opener against the Tiffin University Dragons at 4 p.m. (Sept. 12). Other home games on the schedule include Ferris State (Sept. 26, 4 p.m.), Wayne State (Oct. 10, 1 p.m.), Hillsdale (Oct. 17, 1 p.m.) and Indianapolis (Nov. 7, 1 p.m.).
